All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday asked people of Bihar to choose between strengthening their political voice and political helplessness.
Owaisi’s statement comes in reaction to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s latest alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The AIMIM chief took to X (formerly Twitter) and said, “Since 2015, I have been getting abused by many ‘intellectuals’ and ‘leaders’ because I did not support the Grand Alliance in Bihar. Even then and in 2022, I had said that Nitish will go back to BJP. This is a clear proof of the political understanding of these people that they have been proved wrong every time. The people of Bihar will now have to decide: either strengthen your political voice, or make political helplessness your destiny. It is no longer possible to live in illusion. These Chaudharys of secularism made BJP win twice, but @AIMIM is abused for it.”
