Kumar Vishwajeet made Addl DGP of Rly 29 other IPS officers get new postings

In a major administrative overhaul, Andhra Pradesh witnessed a reshuffling of 30 IPS officers as per Government Order No 193, issued by Chief Secretary Dr KS Jawahar Reddy on Monday night.
Among notable transfers, Kumar Vishwajeet, who was serving as the Additional Director General, V&E and Executive Officer Principal Secretary to the Government, General Administration (V&E) Department, has been transferred and posted as the Additional Director General of Police for Railways.
Atul Singh, Chairman of the State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), has been transferred to the role of Additional Director General of Police for the Andhra Pradesh Special Police (APSP). Meanwhile, Ch Srikanth, who held the position of Inspector General of Police for the Crime Investigation Department (CID), has been moved to the role of Inspector General of Police for Octopus, succeeding SV Rajasekahara Babu,.
Several other high-ranking officers have also been affected by these transfers. Dr Kolli Raghuram Reddy, previously serving as Inspector General of Police for Intelligence (CI) Cell, is now Inspector General of Police for V&E and Executive Officer, Secretary to the Government, General Administration (V&E) Department.
SV Rajasekhara Babu, who was transferred from Octopus, has been appointed as the Chairman of SLPRB. Additionally, Sarvashresth Tripathi, IG (Admin) in the office of the Director General of Police (DGP), has been transferred and posted as Inspector General of Police for CID.
The reshuffle extends across various ranks and regions, impacting officers such as S Harikrishna, DIG Visakhapatnam, who is now transferred and posted as IGP (Personnel) in the office of DGP (HoPF), Andhra Pradesh.
The changes also include transfers of officers like Vishal Gunni, DCP (Law and Order) in Vijayawada, who is now the DIG for Visakhapatnam Range, and K Fakkeerappa Kaginelli, SP for CID, who has been posted as Joint Commissioner of Police in Visakhapatnam.
The realignment of responsibilities also impacts officers like Rahul Dev Sharma, Commandant of the 5th Battalion, APSP in Vizianagaram, who has been transferred and posted as DIG (Training) in the office of the DGP.
These changes aim to bring about a more effective and strategic distribution of leadership roles within the state’s law enforcement agencies. The transferred officers are expected to assume their new roles promptly, reflecting the State government’s commitment to maintaining law and order across Andhra Pradesh.
