The gripping series digs deeply into the life of sub-inspector Vinay, whose family’s exposure to a hacker flips his entire world upside down. Still, it is unclear if he will be able to protect them and his honor. This series, which stars Rajneesh Duggal and Amruta Khanvilkar in key parts, tells the story of deception and redemption in the digital age. That’s how we made contact with the lead actor, who is already well-known for being a supermodel!
“During the entire shoot, because we are addressing a sextortion scam— a lot of thoughts were passing through my mind,” says Rajneesh, who is one of Vikram Bhatt’s go-to choices for most of his films. “It was often melancholic to perform the moments that showed my character’s ignorant experiences. Even I attempted to cut myself off from the outside world in an attempt to fully inhabit the role, but I was unable to. I was more interested in doing the series because, for once, we were discussing males who became trapped. The media occasionally overlooks these kinds of incidents.”
Thus, there was a lot of talk and excitement about the effects of online frauds with the release of the web series Video Cam Scam. It even had a lengthy trend on Twitter and other media. But did any of you realize that it was effectively navigated from a psychological perspective?

Consequently, our altered images are constantly in circulation, which is ultimately rather distressing. I even recall someone tampering with my Twitter account, which is now closed. I don’t use Twitter at all.”
He responds, and we quote, “The series resonates with me fully,” when asked to briefly discuss the show. “After the series concluded, I realized how conveniently people have forgotten that social media apps were designed to facilitate healthy interactions, and based on their current state, they are being abused. We are now these apps’ captives! Instagram is the new newspaper for the younger generation; newspapers are read less often than these applications. Then, one issue these days is the haste with which one must tweet or post an Instagram story.”
Well, congratulations to the actor for being a true visionary and thinking beyond the box by raising awareness. We won’t be shocked if Video Cam Scam continues to garner praise from critics, given the amount of praise it has already garnered. Informing us about the additional developments from the sets, the former winner of Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 5 said, “Even though Amruta and I had never collaborated before, it surprised me how beautifully our connection translated to the screen, even in the less romantic passages. Although I’m really close to her spouse, Amruta and I have never worked together. The whole team was, ironically, Marathi! I was wondering why I couldn’t converse with them in Marathi and why I wasn’t allowed to listen in on their lighter discussions. I therefore established a rule among the team that no one shall converse in Marathi as I am unable to do so.”

Thus, it’s risky! “I joined up for this series in order to break myself from the mindset of the dalit character I played in one of my most recent movies. That wrath could not have controlled me. However, performers must exercise caution to avoid providing the criminals with ideas about how to escape a similar circumstance.”
