Former minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader T Harish Rao on Saturday expressed the view that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy by calling Prime Minister “bade bhai, gave enough indications that the Congress has no chance of coming to power at the Centre.
He was speaking, after meeting a delegation of Munnuru Kapu Sangham from Zaheerabad constituency. The delegation urged the BRS leader to nominate a candidate from the Munnur Kaput community in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He assured the delegation that he would bring the matter to the notice of BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao.
Harish Rao said Revanth Reddy was keen on securing the blessings of the Prime Minister. It gave a message to people that the Congress has no chance of coming to power at the Centre.
He further said that power cuts in the Congress regime are a regular feature. He recalled that the BRRS government ensured round-the-clock uninterrupted power to all sectors.
Quoting a farmer as saying in a village, Harish Rao said that the farmers are a worried lot nowadays.
Referring to the poll promises made by the Congress, the grand old party vowed to implement 13 promises in 100 days, The much-awaited crop loan waiver is yet to be implemented. The government has not even clarified when the crop loan waiver promise would be fulfilled.
He alleged that the Congress government had not even fulfilled its promise of paying bonus to the paddy farmers
Congress has been providing power to the farmers because Lok Sabha polls are round the corner. Power cuts would begin once the Lok Sabha elections are over, Harish felt.
Therefore, he appealed to the people to ensure victory for the BRS candidates to make the voice of the people heard in Delhi.
