As there are two days holidays on April 9 and 11, people from the city are going to their native places to celebrate Ugadi and Eid-ul-Fitr.
Many employees have planned a one week tour to various places as day-by-day a leave was given to them. April 8, Monday is a working day, Tuesday is holiday because of Ugadi festival, Wednesday is working day, Thursday is a holiday because of Eid-ul-Fitr, Friday and Saturdays are working days and Sunday is holiday.
So some employees of software firms have approved work from home facility on Wednesday and Friday. Those who did not get the work from home facility are asking for leave on those days to go to other places.
Meghana of a software company said, “I am going to my hometown, Makthal in Narayanpet district on Sunday. I will be there till next Sunday. I already asked for leave on Monday and work from home on Wednesday and Saturday. They have also accepted my request and I am going to enjoy my quality time with my family.”
Students are also going to their villages because of the paddy harvesting time. Upendra from Narketpally said, “I am going home for Ugadi celebrations and to work in my farm land for harvesting paddy. If I go now I will be with my parents during festival time and helpful to them when they are harvesting the paddy in a few days.”
As people are going home, the TSRTC buses are not sufficient for the passengers. Prasad, a passenger, said, “Every bus is getting full in the Jubilee Bus Station (JBS) to go to Karimnagar. Officials should have arranged more buses for the passengers who are going home for the festival celebrations.”

A TSRTC official said, “According to the demand, we are arranging buses for the district services. Also, from Friday onwards the passengers rush has been increasing to the district services.”
