Rs 6.74 cr worth of liquor, cash jewellery seized: Collector

Liquor, cash, jewellery, and freebies worth Rs. 6.74 crore have been seized in the NTR district, according to Dr S Dilli Rao, the district collector. He emphasised the effective implementation of the Election Model Code of Conduct (MCC) in the district.
In a press release issued on Thursday, Collector Dilli Rao disclosed that Rs. 3.01 crore in cash has been seized thus far. Additionally, seizures include Rs. 92.56 lakh worth of 19,233 litres of liquor, Rs. 5.91 lakh worth of 58,401 grams of drugs, Rs. 2.32 crore worth of 7,758 grams of precious metals, and Rs. 6.43 lakh worth of freebies.
Detailing further, he noted that the Jaggaiahpet constituency saw seizures worth Rs. 1.13 crore in money, liquor, precious metals, and freebies. This was followed by Rs. 35.32 lakh worth of seizures in Mylavaram, Rs. 18.33 lakh in Nandigama, Rs. 84.57 lakh in Tiruvuru, Rs. 2.75 crore in Vijayawada Central, Rs. 64.12 lakh in Vijayawada East, and Rs. 82.44 lakh worth of cash, liquor, freebies, and other valuable goods in the Vijayawada West segment.
