Allari Naresh, celebrated for his comedic prowess, is set to charm audiences once again with the upcoming family entertainer Aa Okkati Adakku. Directed by Malli Ankam and produced by Rajiv Chilaka under Chilaka Productions, the film features Faria Abdullah as the leading lady. The anticipation is high for this film as Naresh returns to his roots in comedy after a notable hiatus, promising a delightful cinematic experience. Ahead of the film’s grand release on May 3, producer Rajiv Chilaka shared insights into the making of Aa Okkati Adakku during a recent press conference.
On entering film production:
“I entered the industry with a long-term plan to produce films. Director Malli brought this story to me, which resonates with universal themes like marriage, family, comedy, and emotions. We believed that this genre would be a perfect fit for our debut film.”
Transition from animation
to films:
“The animation industry is challenging, and our primary focus was to stabilise our company. After establishing ourselves, we ventured into filmmaking. We have successfully produced six animation films, and now we are committed to producing movies consecutively.”

On choosing Allari Naresh:

“When we heard this story, Allari Naresh was our first choice. His comedic timing and charm perfectly suit the character. Naresh loved the story and we waited for him to become available for this project.”

Addressing the relevance
of the story:

“The theme of marriage is something everyone can relate to. Nowadays, marriage has become more complex with changing societal norms and geographical distances. This film touches upon relatable issues faced by today’s youth in a highly entertaining manner.”
Film’s title Aa Okkati Adakku:
“Naresh garu suggested the title Aa Okkati Adakku, which perfectly captures the essence of the story. The title reflects a common question faced by the protagonist about marriage. Naresh’s approval of the title was pivotal.”

Choosing Faria Abdullah:
“Allari Naresh’s towering presence required a suitable co-star like Faria Abdullah, whose comedic timing complements his. We are thrilled to have Jamie Lever and a talented ensemble cast including Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore, and Viva Harsha.”

Music:

“We prioritise music in our films, and Gopi Sundar’s compositions elevate the emotional depth of Aa Okkati Adakku. Additionally, we have exciting projects lined up, including real-life adaptations of ‘Chhota Bheem’ and an animation show set to launch on Disney.”
