Tension as TDP, YSRCP activists hurl stones

Tension prevailed at the RDO office here on Thursday when the YSRCP and TDP candidates went there to file nomination papers. YSRCP candidate Chevireddy Mohit Reddy and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidate Pulivarti Nani went to the RDO office in huge rallies separately.
YSRCP candidate Chevireddy Mohit Reddy and his father Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy reached the RDO office to file nomination papers. At the same time, TDP candidate Pulivarti Nani, along with TDP MP Candidate D Vara Prasad Rao, also went there in a huge rally.
Some YSRCP activists pulled the TDP flag which was strongly objected to by TDP candidate Pulivarti Nani. The YSRCP and TDP workers jostled for some time and later they resorted to hurling stones. The police resorted to a mild lathi charge to disperse the stone-pelting activists.  
The clash took place because the police permitted the YSRCP candidate and the TDP candidate to file their nominations in the RDO office at the same time.
