In the bustling world of Indian cinema, where every release is eagerly awaited, a new film is sparking a buzz: Aa Okkati Adakku. This forthcoming comedy venture, set to hit screens on May 3, is poised to be a refreshing addition to the genre, helmed by the stalwart Allari Naresh and a stellar team of creatives.
Under the visionary direction of Malli Ankam and the production prowess of Rajiv Chilaka, Chilaka Productions proudly presents a film that promises not just laughs but also a glimpse into the complexities of modern relationships.
Faria Abdullah, the leading lady of the film, offered an exclusive sneak peek into the heart and soul of Aa Okkati Adakku.
According to Faria, her character in the film is very dynamic. “My character’s name in this is Siddhi. She’s someone who relishes freedom and detests living by the rules. The dynamic between my character and the hero, who is quite the opposite, creates an engaging conflict laced with a hint of attraction. What drew me to this story was its beautiful portrayal of the complexities surrounding marriage, a theme that resonates universally,” Faria begins, her eyes lighting up with enthusiasm.
Delving into the film’s thematic depth, Faria elaborates, “We delve into various facets of marriage, moving beyond the conventional notions of the perfect wife or husband. The narrative reflects the evolving dynamics of modern marriages, incorporating elements like matrimonial sites and familial relationships, making it a captivating watch for audiences.”
The actress’s admiration extends to director Malli Ankam, as she expressed that he is the man who brought a bound script to the table, brimming with excitement and creativity.
Faria was also part of the biggest blockbuster comedy hits of Telugu cinema, which is Jathi Rathnalu. This film again belongs to the same genre and is not new to the actress, however, she reflects that the comedy in Aa Okkati Adakku is refreshingly different. “It stems organically from the situations, ensuring genuine laughter from the audience. Working alongside Naresh was a delight; his impeccable timing and comedic genius added layers of hilarity to the film,” she asserts. When asked about the challenges of portraying Siddhi, Faria’s response is unexpectedly serene. “Surprisingly, it didn’t feel like a challenge,” she confesses with a smile, adding, “I found a strong connection with Siddhi, and the narrative felt incredibly relatable. It’s the kind of content that resonates with audiences today, reflecting the yearning for spontaneity and authenticity in our lives.”
As the conversation shifts to her future aspirations, Faria shares that character depth and significance are paramount for her, and she is keen on exploring a spectrum of genres, from masala entertainers to horror thrillers. “Additionally, I aspire to venture into action-packed roles, bridging the gap in the industry for actresses in the action genre,” she shared, adding, “I’m thrilled to be a part of Mathu Vadalara 2, along with other exciting ventures like Bhagavanthudu and a Tamil film awaiting release.”
