Onima Kashyap, a popular face in the advertisements world, and also known for her performance in Chacha Vidhayak Hain Hamare, gets candid with The Pioneer as she speaks of being a creative character, working with Amitabh Bachchan, being aligned with her personal values, and more.

Onima Kashyap is extensively known for her massive presence in Coca-Cola commercials at some stage in India, as well as for her participation in several TV advertisements. Noteworthy initiatives in her portfolio consist of collaborations with actor Iqbal Khan for a Magicbricks commercial and a music video with Bhuvan Bam. She has also had the privilege of working alongside illustrious personalities like Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan.
Hence, in a special interview with us, on a common note, she shares, “Well, I am a creative character, and I discover innovative pride in the work I do. Having worked on several mediums, I have skilled in exclusive codecs and a work culture. But I would say that each platform I worked on, helped me study new things. There was once a special kind of zeal whilst working on each project. I without problems adapt to extraordinary situations, so it will become convenient for me to swap to one-of-a-kind mediums.”
As an actress, she is well-known for her performances in web series such as Chacha Vidhayak Hain Hamare, and in films, she is best known for her performance in Maniyarayil Ashokan. The actress adds, “My character Tanvi from Chacha Vidhayak Hain Hamare, has changed a lot over the last few seasons, and each season brings a new element to the story and character, which helps keep the character interesting.”
Having to meet Amitabh Bachchan was no less than a dream come true for her, and working with him, adds a cherry on top of the cake. “He’s a legend in this industry, and working with him was a feather in my cap. He’s such an easy-going guy, and everything went off without a hitch. I guess most of the time when you meet someone like that, you’re just star-struck, and enjoy the moment.”
She is very selective with the work that she does and tries to maintain her authenticity as much as possible. While maintaining authenticity, she’s also focusing on adding her touch to every project that she does. “You just have to be a director’s actor, and other things are taken care of; a good product comes out of a collaborative effort.”
Well, who wouldn’t want to work with such talented people? She strongly believes that if the content is good, sooner or later, your things will settle down, so she thinks good content will attract a large audience among the masses! She adds, “My personal values are aligned with all the brands I have worked with. While signing any endorsement, I look at several parameters to maintain my personal values and the trust of the audience. I ensure that my name is not associated with anything that has false or exaggerated claims.”

Web shows give real experience to the artists, and they provide engaging and interesting stories that grab the attention of the audience. OTT has understood the audience’s preferences and is now a big game, which is what the actress feels
Furthermore, “Before entering the world of entertainment, I worked as a fashion designer for popular names like Reena Dhaka, Namarat Joshipura, and Rahul Mishra. I am also a professional painter, and sell my paintings under the name–Onima Creations.”
