Distribution of polling material inspected

All arrangements are in place for the conduct of elections in Rajahmundry as the installation of EVMs and other polling equipment has been completed.
District Collector Madhavilatha inspected the distribution of polling material and dispatching to the respective polling stations on the campus of SKVT College here on Sunday.
Talking to the media on the occasion, the Collector said that there are 1,577 polling stations in the seven Assembly constituencies in the EG district. She said that there are 16,23,000 voters in the district. Required basic amenities have been provided to all polling stations in the district, she said, adding that a webcasting facility has been provided to some polling stations.  
Collector Madhavilatha stated that 375 problematic polling stations were identified in the district for which Micro observers have been deployed and webcasting has been installed.  
All arrangements have been made at polling stations in which voters can cast their vote in a peaceful environment, she added. She described the poll day as a democracy festival day and appealed to all to exercise their franchise on May 13.
