Acid attack on female student in ICFAI creates panic

A tragic incident that occurred in the Indian Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts (ICFAI) sent shockwaves on the campus, where a hostel student was attacked with acid by unknown persons on Thursday.
The victim, Lekhya, a B Tech student (22), went to the washroom to freshen up. Prior to her going to the washroom, some unknown students poured acid in her bucket. The victim, who was not aware of it, poured the acid water on herself and screamed in pain. On hearing her screams, the other students along with the college authorities rushed to the place and admitted her to the hospital. The female student sustained serious burn injuries due to hot acid water. It was so intense that her skin was peeled off at her back, legs and hands.
Upon hearing the incident, many students began demanding justice for the victim. On credible information, Mokila police officials inspected the incident site. They have taken testimony from the victim and are investigating the case. They also stated that they will take action on the culprits who were behind the attack.
