Officials directed to take steps to provide groundnut seeds to farmers

District Collector V Vinod Kumar has directed the officials concerned to take steps to provide groundnut seeds to the farmers in time. The Collector conducted a surprise inspection of the Rythu Bharosa Kendra located at Yeddulapalli village in Pamidi mandal on Friday.  
Speaking on the occasion, the District Collector said that all the arrangements for the distribution of groundnut seeds should be completed at the earliest. From May 18, the process of registration of farmers should be taken up, he told the officials, adding that the farmers should be informed to register at RBK.
“As many as 100 quintals of seed groundnut has been stored in Yeddulapalli Rythu Bharosa Kendra. The officials should prepare to store the necessary seed groundnut in all RBKs in the district. Necessary plans should be prepared for distribution of groundnut seeds to the farmers at the earliest,” the Collector told the officials. The Collector inquired with the farmers about the raising of groundnut crops and knew their problems.  
Later the Collector saw the groundnut crop of a farmer Pawan Kumar at the village. The Collector directed the agriculture officers to give the required advice to the farmers on adopting advanced techniques in raising crops. Agriculture JD Umamaheshwaramma and AP Seeds DM Subbayya were among those who accompanied the Collector.
