As the countdown to the much-awaited release of Satyabhama intensifies, fans of Kajal Aggarwal are looking forward to the release of this movie, especially with the tantalising promise of a gripping soundtrack composed by the maestro, Sricharan Pakala. The expectations for the movie are even higher.
With Kajal Aggarwal reigning supreme in the lead role and an ensemble cast including Naveen Chandra adding to the intrigue, this crime thriller, produced by Bobby Tikka and Srinivasa Rao Takkalapalli, under the banner of Aurum Arts and directed by Suman Chikkala, is poised to captivate audiences when it hits theatres on June 7. In an exclusive interview, Sricharan Pakala opened up about his experience crafting the music for this adrenaline-fuelled saga.
Expressing excitement about being part of Satyabhama, Sricharan emphasised the thrill of working alongside Kajal Aggarwal, whom he regards as the epitome of cinematic excellence. With this film marking his third collaboration with Sashi Kiran Tikka and the opportunity to work with familiar faces, Sricharan savoured every moment of the creative process, believing that Satyabhama serves as the perfect platform for Kajal’s triumphant return to the silver screen. Drawing parallels between his musical compositions and the pulse-pounding narrative of Satyabhama, Sricharan also highlighted the film’s allure for thriller enthusiasts. He lauded Kajal’s dedication in executing her own stunts, even post-childbirth, saying, “Satyabhama will resonate with those who love thrillers due to its superb twists and emotional journey as a police officer. Kajal performed all the action scenes herself, an impressive feat post-childbirth, which inspired me to create compelling music.”
Delving into the musical tapestry of Satyabhama, Sricharan revealed the presence of five captivating songs, each intricately woven into the fabric of the storyline: “The film features five songs, starting with two: Kallara, a love song between Kajal and Naveen Chandra, and Vethuku Vethuku, sung by Keeravaani, which ties into Kajal’s case investigation. An English song is also included, and the rest of the lyrical songs will be released soon. Collaborating with Keeravaani and Chandra Bose on the song Vethuku Vethuku was a memorable experience for me.”
While Sricharan’s oeuvre is synonymous with thrillers, he expressed a keen desire to explore diverse genres, ranging from love stories to commercial blockbusters. Undeterred by his current image, Sricharan remains committed to pushing the boundaries of his musical repertoire, eager to embrace new opportunities and challenges.
Reflecting on his musical journey, Sricharan reminisced about his childhood influences and eclectic musical tastes, which have shaped his distinctive style. “I listened to ghazals as a child, I also created rock music. I never worked as an assistant to any music director, and my career began when the audience appreciated my music for a film. I will continue to create music and aspire to deliver new and unique compositions to the audience.”
