Election victory enhanced our responsibility: Pawan

Must read

Jana Sena Chief K Pawan Kalyan has said that the landslide election victory has enhanced their responsibility and exhorted the cadres to reach out to people.
The Jana Sena held a meeting in its state office at Mangalagiri with newly elected MLAs. Addressing them, Pawan Kalyan said that people trusted them and gave an unprecedented election victory.
“Every vote we have received reminds us of our responsibility. We must be accountable to five crore people,” he told them.
He made it clear that he would take full salary as an MLA. “If I take my salary, people can question me as I am taking my salary from taxes paid by the people. If I take a salary as an MLA that remains my responsibility,” he observed.
Pawan Kalyan said that he would take his honorarium as an MLA and strive hard to do justice to the people by resolving their grievances. The JSP chief exhorted the newly elected JSP MLAs to behave with discipline in the Assembly as the proceeding telecast live.
“If it is a cinema, there will be censors. But if it is a TV telecast, there will be no censors,” he told his newly elected MLAs. He advised them to be exemplary to other leaders. “Let us show the people how a transparent government works with accountability,” he stated.
Now Andhra Pradesh has become vital to the Centre. The two MPs of Jana Sena should raise the state issues in Lok Sabha, he told them, asking to participate in every debate and express their opinion in the Parliament. No regional party has registered such an election victory which the JSP has registered in 2014 elections, Pawan Kalyan highlighted. JSP leaders Nadendla Manohar and K Nagababu were among those who were present.
