The Telangana government has not taken any decision regarding the allocation of posts for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. As Telangana state has completed 10 years the state government inquired about issues in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act which are still unresolved. Hyderabad, which was the joint capital until now, is now the exclusive capital of Telangana from June 2. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has asked the Finance Department to give a special report on all aspects of bifurcation and the division-wise division of offices and buildings allotted to AP. Officials said that no further discussions and meetings were held on pending issues. Meanwhile, the government has asked trade unions not to believe the false propaganda that employees from AP are coming to Telangana. During the division of posts, based on options and availability, some Telangana-domiciled employees were allocated to AP, and some APdomiciled staffers were allocated to Telangana. Due to personal reasons like medical needs, spouses’ jobs, children’s education and houses, some employees faced difficulties due to this allocation. They appealed to the government to understand their plight from a humanitarian perspective.
At the same time, 1,369 employees sought transfer from Telangana to AP. In September 2021, the Telangana government collected their details and informed them that there is no internal objection to the appeal made to AP. The Andhra Pradesh government also collected details of employees who wanted to come to Telangana from there. They gave TG option to 1,808 employees. On September 23, 2022, the then Andhra Pradesh CS, Samir Sharma, wrote a letter on the subject. They demanded that the government review the applications of employees due to humanitarian reasons. Circulars were issued by the Telangana government in September 2021. The AP government also gathered details of employees who wanted transfer to Telangana from AP and gave that option to 1,808 employees. The AP and TG governments have not taken any decision so far on transferring employees to each other’s state.
