One of the collateral damages of quinquennial elections is that the core of the administration, comprising seasoned officials, is changed by default. Upon regime change in Andhra Pradesh, many IAS/IPS officers across the state have been transferred. Last week, Chief Secretary Neerabh Kumar Prasad issued orders transferring 37 IAS officers, with more than a dozen of them being asked to report to the General Administration Department. A little bird told us that those asked to report to the GAD were blatant supporters of the previous government, including Srilakshmi, Rajat Bhargava and Praveen Prakash.
