‘Will take action against those who looted national wealth’

Must read

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar stated that the heirs of Veerappan, who looted national wealth through red sandalwood smuggling in Tirumala Tirupati, will be held accountable. He emphasised, “There is no question of letting these criminals go,” and assured that appropriate action will be taken based on the report. He noted that a regime of devotees who constantly chant Govinda’s name has arrived in Tirumala. Bandi Sanjay criticised that until recently, “Those who did not believe in God and had no regard for dharma were in power, looting the assets of Lord Venkateswara and putting the public in trouble.” He pointed out that during the previous administration, the heirs of Veerappan looted national wealth worth thousands of crores through red sandalwood smuggling in the Seshachalam hills. “This issue will be brought to the attention of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and a report will be sought on it,” he said. During his visit to Tirumala with his family on his birthday, Bandi Sanjay offered special prayers to Lord Venkateswara. He expressed his happiness at visiting the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, saying, “I prayed for the wellbeing of the people of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, and for the prosperity and happiness of all Indians.” He sought blessings for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts to establish India as a global leader. Bandi Sanjay criticised the previous regime for using the TTD as a rehabilitation centre for political unemployables and for exploiting TTD for political gains. He emphasised, “We are not against any religion but opposed the looting of Lord Venkateswara’s assets for personal gain and defiling Tirumala.” He vowed that such an anarchic regime is over and that a regime of sincere devotees chanting Govinda’s name has taken over.
