Bhogapuram Airport to be operational by 2026: CM

Chief Minister Chandrababu has said that the construction of Bhogapuram International Airport will be completed by 2026 and once the construction of the Airport is completed, North Andhra will transform into an Economic Hub. After inspecting the ongoing construction activities of the Airport area through a bird’s eye view on Thursday, the chief minister spoke to the media persons and said the construction of the beach road till Bhogapuram should also be completed at a brisk pace and said the Bhogapuram area has good potential to grow industrially. “All permissions were given when I was the Chief Minister”, said Chandrababu. Road connectivity from the National Highway to the airport should be increased. Due to the bad attitude of the previous YSRCP government, everything has to be done from scratch, said the CM.
The CM said that Bhogapuram airport will have a footfall of 48 lakh passengers in the beginning. Once the airport is operational the youth of North Andhra will not have to migrate to other areas seeking jobs. The people of Uttarandhra have given a landslide mandate to the NDA that paved the alliance for a historic win. The NDA will do something for the people of Uttarandhra who stood by the alliance. He recalled that he visited Uttarandhra during the tour before the elections. The first phase of Bhogapuram Airport will be completed by June 2026. Union Minister Rammohan Naidu is responsible for speedy completion,” said Chandrababu.
