T-Works, a prototyping centre, in collaboration with L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Limited, launched a two-day ‘Make it @ Metro’ event at the MGBS Metro station on Friday. Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary for Information Technology, Electronics and Communications (ITE&C), was the chief guest, while actor Tanikella Bharani and Bhavesh Mishra, Deputy Secretary of ITE&C, were guests of honour.
The event aimed at immersing the citizens of Hyderabad in the ‘make it’ culture, encouraging creativity, innovation, and hands-on making. The initiative underscores the vision of transforming Hyderabad into a hub of product innovation. It features various workshops and demonstrations, offering attendees a hands-on experience in diverse fields of making and prototyping.
Jayesh Ranjan, said, “Anyone can become a maker. There is no need to go elsewhere; dream big and build a culture right here. Let us make India a leader in product innovation. Also, many people have the perception that people with big degrees or coming from top institutions in India like IITs or IIMs can work or visit big innovative and entrepreneurial hubs like We Hub, T-Hub, T-Work etc, but not for others who are pursuing their education from tier two or tier three colleges. To eliminate this perception, we have launched this event where all people can be involved in creating new products or talent with their ideas, thereby increasing the entrepreneurial spirit or innovation and creativity among people.”
Bhavesh Mishra emphasised the importance of bringing the ‘make it’ culture to everyone and how it leads to product innovation. He said, “Fostering a ‘make it’ culture is crucial as it empowers individuals and drives the innovation necessary for creating ground-breaking products.”
Tanikella Bharani, renowned actor, screenwriter, poet, playwright, and director, expressed his delight at witnessing such a unique collaboration. He said, “It is very special to see this initiative at MGBS Metro station. It allowed me to experience both the Metro and the making culture firsthand.”
The event was also attended by KVB Reddy, Managing Director and CEO of L&TMRHL, Murali Varada rajan, Chief Strategy Officer of L&TMRHL, Rishi Kumar Verma, Chief Marketing Officer of L&TMRHL, and Joginder Tanikella, CEO of T-Works.
