Collector Rahul Raj has asked the bankers and Agriculture Department officials to ensure that 45,882 beneficiaries of the loan waiver scheme receive Rs 241.82 crore waived by the government and directed them to work in coordination.
In the first phase, 1.52 lakh farmers of undivided Medak district – 47,978 farmers belonging to Medak district, 53,128 belonging to Siddipet district and 51,164 belonging to Sangareddy district
-were benefited by the first phase of Rs 1 lakh waiver implemented by the state government.
He was reviewing the implementation of the scheme with bank controllers and bank manager and enquired them about the details of the beneficiaries bank wise and primary agricultural cooperative society wise.
He wanted the lead bank manager to prepare the list of the beneficiaries of the loan waiver first phase with the full list of the beneficiaries. He asked the bankers to furnish detailed information to the lead bank manager. All loans obtained during December 12, 2018 and December 9, 2023 will be benefited.
A grievance cells should be set up in each mandal headquarters town with bankers and Agricultural officials, he said.
The government is going to waive the loan availed by farmers in the PACS too, he said asking the bankers to furnish him daily report on the use of the loan waiver amount and the total number of failed transactions.
A senior official in the Agricultural Department should monitor the process, he said.
District Agriculture Department Official Govind, LDM Narasimha Murthy, bank controllers, bank managers, coordinators and others took part in the event.
