SP vows to make Nalgonda district ‘marijuana free’

Nalgonda Superintendent of Police  Sarath Chandra Pawar said that the aim is to make Nalgonda district a marijuana-free district. The Munugodu police on Saturday arrested five persons on charge of selling marijuana and drugs in Munugodu mandal.
He was speaking at a press conference held at the Munugodu police station. Alcohol and other drugs are manufactured. It is everyone’s responsibility to eliminate cannabis and other intoxicants. He advised parents to keep an eye on their children to ensure that they would not fall prey to bad habits. He advised the police personnel to keep a strict vigil on the youths consuming marijuana and counsel them.
The accused were subsequently arrested. Munugodu Sub Inspector Venkateswarlu, along with his team, kept a watch on the sale of marijuana and drugs in Munugodu mandal as per the instructions of the district SP.
Based on the information that 5 persons were found with motorcycles in the shed located at Laxmidevigudem in Munugodu, the Munugodu SI conducted inquiries with Bolam Venkatesh, Koratikal village, Doti Ramaraju Kurampalli village, Armelli Vikas Munugodu Kammagudam, Veeramalla Lingaswamy Kompalli and Puram Ganesh Bollaram Gurrampodu. As many as 35 youths are being counselled for consuming ganja. On this occasion,Nalgonda DSP Sivarami Reddy, Chandur CI Venkataiah, Munugodu, Kanagal, Gattuppal SSILs Venkateshwarlu, Suresh Kumar, Venkat Reddy, SSILs Kalil, Anjaiah, staff, Veeranjaneyulu, Mohan Babu, Swamy, Ramesh and others participated.
