Webster varsity holds pre-depature programme for  TG, AP students

US- based Webster University in collaboration with Education USA and InUni Global conducted pre-departure programme for students from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Ahead of the fall semester beginning in August, a total of 300 students were briefed about documents required at the time of entering the United States and the opportunities provided at the University.
Addressing the gathering,  Samrat Ray Chaudhuri, Assistant Vice President for International Enrollment said, “The popular programmes among students from Telangana and AP are cybersecurity,  data analytics and  STEM . Webster University’s curriculum focuses on real world learning. Students have the exposure to industry internships, CPT.”
Chaudhuri further said, “For Under Graduate students,  the tuition fee at the university is $ 32,000. However, students  can avail scholarship of up to $20,000 (60%) based on their GPA or if the students has exceptional sports skills. In the post-COVID period, the Webster University did a rejig of its fee structure for students enrolling in the Masters programmes.
The students can now complete the full course in $ 20,000-22,000. The total number of students from January and August intake is about 850 from this region.”
The Vice President  stressed on students having a health insurance and said, “Webster makes it compulsory to have a health insurance which costs about $1100. At the time of landing,  students may suffer from some or the other health issue . The Co-pay for students is $500. All students must have a health insurance because the cost of health services is very high in the US.”
Addressing a question on student safety, Chaudhuri said, “There are public safety officers on the campus who conduct sessions with students online and ofline.
These sessions include software skills along with dos and don’ts while going out. There are on campus drills for students in case there is an active shooter. These modules are also provided online since most students aren’t equipped to deal with natural calamities during tornadoes.”
