Aha Godari makes it big at NEXA Streaming Academy Award

Gyabo Network Pvt Ltd’s Aha Godari, a film about the River Godavari, won best documentary at the NEXA Streaming Academy Awards, which were held in conjunction with the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) in Mumbai. The documentary is currently streaming on Aha, which made a remarkable debut at the first-ever NEXA Streaming Academy Awards by clinching an impressive 13 awards.
The awards ceremony also honoured individual excellence. Vijay K Chakravarthy received the Best Cinematographer (Series) award for Anya’s Tutorial.
On this occasion, Gopavajhala Diwakar was awarded Best Documentary Original. Kiran Mamedi was named Best Production Designer (Series) for Newsense. Priyamani Raj was named Best Actor – Critics’ Choice (Female) for her performance in Bhamakalapam 1. Abhimanyu Tadimeti received the Best Story award for Bhamakalapam 1, while Nivedhithaa Sathish and Sharanya Pradeep were honoured as Best Supporting Actor in Series (Anya’s Tutorial) and Best Supporting Actor in Film (Bhamakalapam 1) respectively.
Ratthasachi, which is currently streaming on Aha in Tamil, also received several accolades in the original web category, including Best Film, Best Original Soundtrack by Javed Riaz, Best Actor (Male Critics Regional) to Kanna Ravi and Best Cinematographer to Jagadeesh Ravi. These awards recognise the film’s exceptional storytelling, music, performances and cinematography. Ravikant Sabnavis, CEO of Aha, accepted two awards on behalf of the platform: Best Non-Fiction Original for Unstoppable and Best Regional Platform. “These awards, awarded for the first time to an OTT platform, mark a historic milestone for Aha as a leader in regional OTT. They also showcase the dedication and creativity of our talented teams and partners in delivering diverse and captivating stories,” adds Ravikant.
