BJP stages protest demanding new ration cards for the poor

BJP district president Bokka Narsimha Reddy has accused the State government of showing laxity in issuing new ration cards.
A protest was organised by Yacharam mandal BJP president Tandra Ravinder in front of the Tahsildar office. The demonstrators submitted a petition demanding that ration cards be granted to every eligible person.
During the protest, BJP district unit president Bokka Narsimha Reddy, Kisan Morcha General Secretary Marripalli Anjaiah, and Kisan Morcha district unit president Jakka Ravinder Reddy criticised the previous government’s attempts to cut down the number of ration cards. They alleged that many ration cards were unjustly removed under the pretext of eliminating bogus cards.
The leaders condemned the current Congress government’s failure to issue ration cards despite coming to power on promises of six guarantees. They complained that applications from deserving poor had been ignored. The BJP leaders demanded that the government issue ration cards to all eligible people immediately, warning that they would escalate their agitation if their demands were not met.
