Rs 503 cr allocated for second phase of loan waiver scheme in Nalgonda dist

District Collector C Narayana Reddy said that loans to the tune of Rs 503.89 crore would be waived benefiting 43,130 farmer families in Nalgonda district. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy launched the second phase of farm loan waiver through video conference from Hyderabad.
Speaking at a meeting held at Udayaditya Bhawan, the Collector said that in the first phase, a total of Rs 481.63 crore had been deposited in 8,3121 bank accounts of 7.8757 farmer families having loans up to Rs.1 lakh in the district.  He said that in the second phase of loan waiver of less than Rs 1.5 lakh across the state, Rs 6,198 crore has been released and Nalgonda district alone has received Rs 503.89 crore. On this occasion, he congratulated all the farmers whose loans up to Rs 1.5 lakh are being waived in the districts.  Loans up to Rs 2 lakh will also be waived by August. He said that out of the first installment of Rs 481 crore, Rs 465 crore has been deposited in the accounts of farmers and only 456 bank accounts have not been waived off due to technical reasons.
DCMS Chairman Bolla Venkat Reddy and District Agriculture Officer Sravan spoke. District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar, Chief Planning Officer, Ashok Khajuria, Assistant Commissioner Development, Angrez Singh, PO IWMP, Sushil Kesar, District Panchayat Officer, Rachna Sharma, besides BDOs, JEEs, Panchayat Inspectors, Gram Sewaks, GRS were present on the occasion.
