The Telugu Film Industry extends its heartfelt gratitude to A. Revanth Reddy, the Chief Minister of Telangana and Komatireddy Venkatreddy, Minister for Cinematography, for their steadfast commitment to the growth of the industry in the state.
The Government of Telangana has announced the Constitution of the “Gaddar” Awards to recognise and honour exceptional talent across various fields of art and craft, including the Telugu Film Industry. This initiative highlights the state’s dedication to celebrating and supporting artistic excellence beyond regional boundaries.
Revanth Reddy has shown a keen interest in the industry’s recent achievements, including its expansion across India and efforts to match international standards. This encouragement from the state government is seen as a significant milestone for the industry.
To ensure the effective implementation of the “Gaddar” Awards, a committee will be formed in collaboration with the Telangana State TV & Film Development Corporation. This Committee will include representatives from the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce and the Telugu Film Producers’ Council. The Committee will draft the necessary guidelines and present them to the Chief Minister and the Minister for Cinematography. K.L. Damodar Prasad, Secretary of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, expressed enthusiasm for the initiative and reassured that the Committee’s formation and guidelines will be finalised promptly to facilitate the awards’ launch.
The introduction of the “Gaddar” Awards underscores the Telangana Government’s commitment to fostering talent and supporting the arts, reinforcing the state’s position as a significant player in the Indian film industry.
