Students create awareness on seasonal diseases

Must read

Student volunteers (GHMC heroes) in many schools across GHMC went door-to-door in many colonies on Friday to educate people about mosquito prevention, precautions to be taken to prevent the spread of seasonal diseases and activities to be taken up on Friday and Tuesday.
They educated them on the reasons for the prevalence of seasonal diseases like dengue, malaria, chicken pox and explained the precautions to be taken to prevent water stagnation to the public.
They advised the people to separate the wet and dry waste and hand it over to Swachh autos instead of throwing the garbage outside houses. Mosquitoes breed due to insanitary conditions. Dengue, malaria, viral fever, chicken pox and other diseases prevail with mosquitoes.
Entomology, sanitation staff and others participated in this programme along with student volunteers.
