Minister for Water Resources Nimmala Ramanaidu took part in the ‘Shramdaan’ programme for the installation of statues of BR Ambedkar and Jagjivan Ram at Aryapet village in Yelamanchili mandal on Sunday.
The residents of Arundhati Pet in Aryapet village are installing the statues of BR Ambedkar and Jagjivan Ram in their village. The statues were placed on pedestals, and other related works were carried out on Sunday. Minister Ramanaidu participated by carrying construction materials on his head and mixing concrete. He also worked alongside construction workers to help construct a slab.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramanaidu expressed his happiness in contributing to the installation of the statues. He mentioned that he draws inspiration from BR Ambedkar and Mother Teresa.
In-charge Tahsildar Baji Satyanarayana, MPDO P Srinivasa Rao, along with leaders from TDP, JSP, and BJP, also took part in the programme.
