Officials told to protect government lands

Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao has directed officials to take steps to prevent encroachment on government lands in Khammam Assembly constituency.
The Minister conveyed the message to Swachhadanam-Pachhadanam district special officer VP Gautam, District Collector Muzammeel Khan and Municipal Commissioner Abhishek Agastya who called on him as a matter of courtesy on the occasion of the minister visiting the district.
He asked the government officials to safeguard the government lands from encroachment and also use them for the public use.
He made a special mention of government lands at Raghunadhapale mmandal. He directed the officials to erect a fence around government lands. Further, he asked the officials to ensure that the Gollapadu channel pending works are executed with quality. Further, he suggested convertring the urban park in Velugumatla into an eco-tourism park.  Also, he wanted the road leading to the park should be developed into a double-road.
In view of visit of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to the city, he asked the officials to deck up the city and plant saplings on road dividers.
Further, he asked the officials to identify suitable land for development of international school in the city.
