BRS leaders have no patent on TG: Niranjan

Must read

Stating that BRS leaders should give up the illusion that only they have patent rights on Telangana, TPCC Senior Vice-President G. Niranjan said that although the people of Telangana defeated the BRS in the last two elections, KCR and KTR are still under the illusion that Telangana is their jagir.
Daydreaming that they will come back to power they are boasting that they will do this and that. Congress leaders know how to protect Telangana culture and honour, he said. Niranjan said the Congress strongly condemns the ‘inappropriate’ comments of BRS Working President KT Rama Rao about the late Rajiv Gandhi and added that KTR should apologise.
In a statement, Niranjan said that Rajiv Gandhi is a national leader who ‘sacrificed’ his life for the nation. “As Prime Minister, he introduced revolutionary changes in the country. It is not appropriate to make narrow-minded comments about such a leader. Rajiv was not confined to any particular region. People still haven’t forgotten his Sadbhavana Yatra in the twin cities in 1990.  It is well known that in January 1991, when there were communal clashes in the city of Hyderabad, he went door to door to visit affected families and console them,” he said.
