SEASONAL DISEASES Collector warns doctors against being negligent

District Collector Satya Sarada on Friday warned the doctors against laxity in treating poor patients coming to the hospitals. She asked the doctors to educate people on seasonal diseases looming large in the district.  
The Collector made a surprise visit to primary health centre and urban residential school at Banojipet here.
Satya Sarada stressed the need to take precautions to prevent the spread of malaria, dengue and other seasonal diseases. She inspected the records in primary health centre. She enquired about number of patients visiting the hospital daily.
The Collector directed the doctors to ensure that tests are conducted for patients suffering from fever for more than four days. The district administration has already provided test kits to all hospital. She asked the ASHA workers to examine the conditions at the field level.
Patients diagnosed with malaria or dengue should be referred to MGM Hospital, she said. She visited the health camp being organised at Banojipet. She inspected the medicines being provided to patients.
Later, the Collector visited urban residential school. She inspected the quality of mid-day meal being provided to children. She ate food along with the children. She instructed the teachers to provide quality education to children.

District Medicals and Health Officer Arun Chandra and others were present.
