The Minister called for the identification of high-risk areas where cases of seasonal diseases and dengue are prevalent.
Officials were instructed to implement preventive measures such as placing oil balls in stagnant water bodies to curb the spread of diseases.
Minister Rajanarsimha reassured the public that government hospitals are fully equipped with necessary tests, medicines, staff and doctors for diagnosing and treating seasonal diseases, including dengue.
The Minister warned that strict action would be taken against any medical department official found negligent in preventing seasonal diseases.
Minister Rajanarsimha also reviewed the provision of advanced equipment and infrastructure in government medical and nursing colleges.
He directed TGMSIDC Managing Director Hemant Vasudeva Rao to prioritise the supply of modern equipment to newly established colleges.
