Telangana has recorded a total 6,242 dengue cases as of August 30.
There were a total 1,06,356 samples tested and positivity is six per cent.
According to the data from Health Minister office, top 10 dengue high risk districts are Hyderabad, which recorded 2,073, Suryapet 506, Medchal Malkajgiri 475, Khammam 407, Nizamabad 362, Nalgonda 351, Ranga Reddy 260, Jagitial 209, Sangareddy 198 and Warangal 128.
Minister for Health Damodar Raja Narshimha conducted review meeting with officials on prevention and control of dengue, chikungunya and malaria.
In Telangana Sate from January 1 till August 30 this year, a total of chikungunya cases reported are 167 out of 3,127 samples tested and Positivity is 5 per cent.
Chikungunya high risk district is Hyderabad (74), Mahabubnagar (20), Wanaparthy (17), Ranga Reddy (16) and Medchal (11).
As for malaria case, total cases reported from January 1 till August 30 are 197 out of 22,80,500 samples tested and Positivity is 0.01%
In Telangana Sate Fever survey initiated on July 23 as on August 30, So for majority of PHCs/ UPHCs in the district are conducting re-survey. Total number of houses visited: 1,68,42,891, total number of persons screened: 5,17,19,839 and total number of fever cases 2,99,708
In the state there are 42 T-Hub Labs functioning with adequate testing and 53 blood banks functioning with Adequate blood units.
In all 33 Districts 108 Ambulances functional and Medicines and Logistics for Malaria Made available in all Districts said the release from Health Ministers office.
Domodar directs officials to be proactive in combating diseases
In the wake of of the heavy rains pounding the State, Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha has sent out an alert to medical officials, urging them to be proactive in tackling the rise of seasonal diseases such as dengue, chikungunya and malaria. The Minister emphasised the importance of early action, directing top officials from the State Medical and Health Department to conduct field visits and extend support to affected communities. He asked the Government Hospital doctors to review the list of pregnant women, who are in an advanced state of pregnancy, and advised them to approach hospitals early to avoid journey in the rain. During an extensive discussion with the department’s Minister also reviewed the measures in place to combat these diseases. He highlighted tat, due to the proactive steps taken earlier this year compared to previous years, the spread of seasonal diseases has been kept under control. He said that the government hospitals are providing free, high quality treatment to patients.
