Officials to expedite land acquisition for NTPC, SCCL projects

District Collector Koya Sree Harsha has directed the officials to resolve the problems related to land acquisition for the SCCL and NTPC projects in a transparent way.
He undertook a field visit on Tuesday with regard to land acquisition of 606 acres for the NTPC, Ramagundam project at Moghalpahad under Antargam mandal and pending land acquisition for the SCCL in Ramagirimandal area. He asked the officials as to why there was delay in acquiring land for the projects.
For the SCCL, 49 acres is to be  acquired in RG-1 area. In the area, 269 acres of government land was leased out to the SCCL. The Collector ordered the officials to conduct a survey of the enjoyment of the lands by the farmers.
He asked the officials to display the survey results in the notice board. If there are any objections to it, he asked the officials to receive them and resolve them.
Additional Collector Shyam Prasad Lal, Peddapalli Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) B Gangaiah, Mandhani RDO V Hanuma Naik, Antargam Tahsildar Ramesh and others were present.
