The Vedic students should stand as a role model to others and act as the custodians of the Hindu Sanatana Dharma, glorifying the reputation of the institution, asserted former CS of AP and TTD EO LV Subramanyam. He participated in the Ganesha Navahnikam celebrations held at Dharmagiri Veda Vignana Peetham at Tirumala on Friday, along with the Additional EO Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdhary.
Addressing the students on the occasion, he said Dharmagiri happens to be one of the oldest institutions in the country imparting Vedic knowledge to hundreds of students. He called upon the students to first have the knowledge about the great history of their educational institution. In the last one and a half centuries this great centre has produced many stalwarts in the field of Vedas.
So, it is the responsibility of every student to take forward the legacy of this institution.
In his welcome address, the TTD Additional EO said apart from imparting Vedic education to the students, we are now focusing on improving their physical and mental fitness also. A sports complex is being planned in Tirumala for the students apart from inculcating them yoga and meditation also.
He also said henceforth, stalwarts from various fields would be invited on a regular basis to enlighten the Vedic students on different topics and personality development which will be useful in building up their future career Later, they participated in the worship of Sri Veera Ganapati Utsavam on the premises.
