30 health camps for people near immersion sites in Hyd

Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha ordered arrangements for health services at Ganesh immersion sites on Monday.
In preparation for the upcoming Ganesh immersion, Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha has directed the State Health Department to make necessary arrangements to ensure prompt medical assistance. Health camps and ambulances will be strategically stationed in areas where the immersion takes place, particularly around Tank Bund in Hyderabad.
The Minister emphasised the importance of being vigilant, as large crowds of devotees and tourists are expected to gather. According to his instructions, 30 health camps will be set up across Hyderabad, each equipped with doctors, nursing staff and medical kits. Ambulances will be on standby to offer immediate transport and care in case of emergencies.
Minister Rajanarsimha stressed that all medical teams must be prepared to provide swift treatment to anyone in need during the Ganesh immersion festivities.
Meanwhile, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner Amrapali Kata said that all arrangements have been completed without any problems for the devotees coming for Ganesh immersion in the city.
She inspected the Ganesh immersion arrangements at Necklace Road on Monday. She said that 15,000 employees, including the staff of Sanitation, Engineering, Urban Biodiversity (UBD) wing and Urban Community Development (UCD) departments will work for 24 hours in three shifts for Ganesh immersion.
She said that they held meetings with the Ganesh Utsav Committee and other organisations over the Ganesh immersion procession.
She said that immersion would be held in 73 ponds across the city, out of which 24 portable ponds, 22 excavation ponds, 27 baby ponds, are available for immersion. In all, 468 cranes have been placed so far for immersion.
