Minister inaugurates medical college in Narsampet

Health Minister Damodar Raja Narsimha, along with Minister for Revenue Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Minister for Forests and Environment Konda Surekha, on Thursday inaugurated the Narsampeta government hospital and medical college, built at a cost of Rs 183 crore, in the district.
The Ministers also inaugurated Indira Canteen on the premises of the college and tasted various foods sold at the canteen. They planted saplings on the premises of the college. They distributed cheques worth Rs 2 crore to 15 self-help group women on the occasion.
Later, the Ministers, along with Mahabubabad MP Porika Balram Naik, laid the foundation stone for the Banjara Bhavan at Rajupeta under the aegis of Tribal Welfare Department. The Bhavan will be built with SDF funds of Rs 2 crore.
The Ministers later laid the foundation stone for the 600 KL Elevated Level Storage Reservoir and internal pipeline works under Amrut 2.0 in Narsampet municipality.
