Need for promoting education stressed

Additional Collector  Deepak Tiwari has underlined the  importance of promoting education for the bright future of children.
He was speaking at the special Sankalp Awareness Programme held under the joint aegis of the Woman and Child Welfare Department and the Women’s Empowerment Centre conducted for the students of the Mahatma Gandhi-Jyotiba  Phule Tribal Welfare residential school at Gannaram.
Kagaz Nagar Sub-Collector Shraddha Shukla and District Welfare officer Adepu Bhaskar and others took part in the event. He spoke on various aspects like health, education, welfare, cybercrimes, child marriages, trafficking of children and so on. He said that the education and health play a crucial role in ensuring children reaching their goals. The children should possess knowledge about various aspects. They should know about their rights.
He said that programmes like this would be held for 25 days at residential schools for girls, KGBVs, residential schools, Mahatma Gandhi-Jyotiba  Phule schools, Ekalavya Model schools. Speakers would create awareness among children on several aspects.
District coordinator  of Women’s Empowerment Centre Sarada, Poshana Abhiyan district coordinator Gopalakrishna, education sectoral officer Srinivas, Mamata of Sakhi, councilor Srinidhi, special economic literary special officer of women’s empowerment center  sagar, gender specialist  Rani, Rajeshwar of ICPS, councillor Ravali, head masters and teachers took part in the event.
