WB team hails TG’s development priorities

A World Bank delegation has hailed the Telangana government’s development priorities.
After the recent meeting between Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and World Bank President Ajay Banga in Washington, discussions were held on Saturday in Hyderabad.
Martin Raiser, the Vice President of the South Asia Region at the World Bank, led the delegation which included Paul Procee, Head of Country Operations, Natalia K., Urban Infrastructure Project Lead and Mahimapath Ray, Senior Specialist for Digital Development.
During the meeting at the secretariat, Chief Minister Revanth highlighted the state’s emphasis on urban infrastructure development, education, healthcare and irrigation. He requested the World Bank’s cooperation and support for maintaining the highest standards in Telangana’s projects.
Raiser praised the Chief Minister’s vision, particularly in education and healthcare, stating that the decisions align with future needs.
“Telangana’s priorities are in sync with what the World Bank emphasizes. We are keen to extend our cooperation,” said Raiser.
The meeting was attended by Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, the CM’s Principal Secretary, V. Sheshadri and others.
