Dy CM Pawan takes part in Durga temple cleansing

Must read

Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan came down heavily on former Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) board chairmen YV Subba Reddy, Bhuman Karunakar Reddy, and other YSRCP leaders for irresponsibly addressing the defilement of TTD ‘Laddu Prasadam’ at the Tirumala Srivari temple, which took place during the previous YSRCP’s tenure.
The Deputy CM participated in the temple cleansing at Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam atop Indrakeeladri as part of the 11-day ‘Prayaschitta Deeksha’. The Dy CM cleaned the steps of the temple premises, and later applied turmeric and kumkum paste on the steps, offered special puja and sought the blessings of the presiding deity goddess Kanaka Durga. Later speaking to the media persons, Pawan Kalyan launched an attack on former TTD Chairman Subba Reddy, Karunakar Reddy and said that he is not aware that their family members converted to Christianity. However they both took up the responsibility to uphold Hindu Dharma (Hindu faith), and there is a need to protect the faith and belief of Hindus. The previous TTD board members were appointed by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and as TTD heads, they are responsible for the defilement of the Laddu Prasadam, said the Dy CM.
