Work for providing road connectivity in tribal area begin

Shadnagar MLA Veerlapalli Shankar has laid foundation stone for the construction of bitumen roads in tribal areas, focusing on Gollakunta Thanda under Velijarla village, Farooq Nagar Mandal, and Gidigadda Thanda. The projects, which include the Velijarla road works costing Rs 75 lakh and the Gidigadda Thanda road development at Rs 1.20 crore, are aimed at enhancing the road connectivity in the tribal community.
Speaking on the occasin, i Shankar emphasised that the development of tribal areas is a priority for the Congress party. He stated that the ongoing efforts are part of the party’s broader mission to uplift marginalised communities.
Several prominent Congress leaders were present at the event, including Mandal Congress Party President Challa Srikanth Reddy, Block Congress President Balaraju Goud, and senior party leaders Y Yadaiah Yadav and Chendi Tirupati Reddy. Tribal leader Srinu Naik, former MPTC member Wadyala Narsimha Reddy, and village Congress President Srinivas Reddy also participated, along with a large group of Congress activists and supporters.
The gathering saw participation from a wide array of tribal leaders, including Nenawat Hari Chander Naik, Dasya Naik, and Shankar Naik, as well as prominent youth leaders such as Animi Akhil Goud and Vattela Mahesh Yadav. Women leaders, including Lakshmi, Sujata, and Shobha, also attended the event, underscoring the Congress party’s commitment to inclusive development.
 The MLA said that the newly inaugurated BT roads are expected to significantly improve connectivity in these tribal areas, furthering the Congress party’s goal of fostering growth and progress for the tribal population in the Shadnagar region.
