‘Demolish our houses but spare those of  the poor’

Must read

BRS Working president KT Rama Rao requested Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to demolish his homes and that of his party activists if that is what it would take to stop him from demolishing the houses of the poor. He says the CM has to stop bulldozing homes and destroying people’s lives.
“If demolishing my home will bring you peace, please do that, but after that end the mindless demolitions,” KTR said.
He also asked Revanth to demolish his brother Tirupathi Reddy’s house in Durgamcheruvu and Revanth’s house in Reddy Kunta in Kodangal.
He accused the government of prioritising demolitions in low-income neighbourhoods to push forward projects that benefit only the rich and the powerful.
KTR specifically referred to the Musi Project, alleging that it was a ruse to steal public funds rather than a genuine development project.
“They are calling it ‘beautification,’ but it’s nothing more than looting. Poor people are being targeted, and the government is hiding behind big-ticket projects to fill their pockets,” KTR said.
He claimed that the Chief Minister and his administration were focused on “looti-fication” rather than beautification, making it clear that the current projects served to line the pockets of a few elites while neglecting the welfare of commoners.
He said the Chief Minister is not Gumpu Mestri as they construct, but this CM is Chitti Naidu who only knows how to demolish.
