Kannababu slams CM for false claims about ‘Tirupati laddu’

Must read

Former minister Kurasala Kannababu strongly criticised Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for engaging in what he termed as negative propaganda and diversionary politics, particularly over the false allegations concerning the Tirupati Laddu. He urged Naidu to refrain from spreading misinformation, which he said could damage the reputation of TTD and disrespect Lord Venkateswara.
Addressing the media in Kakinada on Friday, Kannababu called upon the TDP to focus on real issues rather than politicising religious matters. He emphasised that Naidu should address pressing concerns such as the rising prices of essential goods like onions and rice, and the severe sand shortage that has impacted construction workers across the State.
He highlighted the plight of thousands of families affected by recent floods, which destroyed crops over 15 lakh acres, accusing the government of neglecting their needs.
Kannababu noted that onion prices have surged to over Rs 60 per kilogram in farmers’ markets and Rs 75 in the open market, while rice prices have jumped from Rs 150 to Rs 200 for a 25-kilogram bag. He also criticised the government for its claims of providing free sand, pointing out that transportation charges alone have reached Rs 9,276, with total costs rising to Rs 16,640.
The former minister expressed concern over the TDP government’s negligence in areas like agriculture and public welfare, urging the ruling party to focus on solving these issues instead of resorting to diversionary tactics to hide its failures.
