Pawan Kalyan visits Kanaka Durga Temple

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan visited Kanaka Durga Temple along with his daughter Aadhya on Wednesday. The temple authorities welcomed Pawan as per protocol and made arrangements for darshan. The father-daughter duo had darshan of the goddess, who appeared as ‘Saraswati Devi’. The Minister was presented with a Durga portrait and laddu prasadam by the temple authorities.
During Pawan’s visit, his supporters chanted ‘Jai Jana Sena’ and ‘Jai Pawan Kalyan’ on the temple premises that drew sharp reactions from several devotees who were waiting for darshan. They expressed displeasure over disruption of temple sanctity. Many devotees criticised the shouting of political slogans inside the temple, asserting that religious places should be free from such activities.
The temple administration had made special arrangements to ensure smooth darshan for all devotees, particularly during the festive season when the temple sees a large number of devotees.
