One crore people suffering due to Musi pollution: Venkat

Must read

Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy expressed displeasure over the state of the Musi River and accused the BRS government of mismanagement.
Addressing the media, he said that nearly one crore people are suffering due to the mega pollution in the Musi River and are criticising the government’s inaction in addressing the issue.
He said that attempts to clean the river have been blocked by key figures in the BRS government. “KTR is blocking attempts to clean the Musi River, forcing millions of people to suffer,” he said.
He said BRS leaders are unable to bear the Congress government taking giant strides in ensuring public welfare.
He also criticised BRS MLA Harish Rao for his handling of the loan waiver scheme. “Harish is silent about farm loan waivers as during the BRS government’s tenure, only loans up to Rs 1 lakh were waived on four separate occasions which was grossly inadequate,” he said, expressing anger that the BRS admin’s loan waiver did not even cover the interest payable by farmers.

Venkat’s sharp comments sparked a debate regarding the Congress government’s attempts to address key issues like pollution and economic relief for the poor. He urged the government to take swift action to save the public from problems.
