‘CMO never refused helicopter to me’

The Minister for Roads and Buildings, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, clarified that helicopter services were used for official programmes across multiple districts with prior approval from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
He emphasized that the use of helicopters is part of the government’s effort to ensure the efficient execution of development and welfare schemes and to save time during district tours.
He explained that he along with other ministers had used helicopter services for government functions, inauguration ceremonies and to conduct review meetings in various districts. He also reminded that during the recent floods, copters were used to coordinate the visits of Union Ministers and oversee relief and rehabilitation operations. Helicopters were also employed to ensure the smooth conduct of the Ganesh immersion process, he said.
