 ‘No opposition party can stop Musi river rejuvenation’

Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkata Reddy has made it clear that no opposition party can stop Musi river cleaning. River Musi rejuvenation will be carried out under any circumstances, he has asserted.
Speaking at a meeting, shortly after laying the foundation stone for the construction of panchayat building in Madugulapalli mandal in the district, he emphasised that the State government is committed to the welfare of all sections of people. He came down heavily on those who were coming in the way of restoration of Musi river. He also laid foundation stone for panchayat building to be built at a cost of Rs 20 lakh at Khajiramaram village.
Venkat Reddy expressed confidence that the Musi river project would be completed successfully. Additionally, he announced that in Madugulapalli Mandal, offices for the Tahsildar, Police Station, and the Mandal Parishad Development Officer (MPDO) would be built on one-acre plots with state-of-the-art facilities and modern landscaping for the convenience of the people and employees.
He also mentioned that additional funds would be allocated if required to complete the construction of these offices.
He highlighted several welfare initiatives undertaken by the state government, including free bus services for women, zero electricity charges for households consuming less than 200 units, LPG gas connections for Rs 500 and loan waivers for loans below Rs2 lakhs. He further added that loan waivers for farmers with loans above Rs 2 lakhs would be initiated  by December 7 or 9.
Additionally, the Minister announced that Rs 4 crore had been allocated for the construction of roads at Cheruvupalli and Tippaparthi, while Rs 60 crore had been approved for the roads at Indugula, Tirumarti, Mamidala, and Nakirekal. A double lane road from Kurumarti to Suryapet would soon be approved, and 75 Indiramma houses would be constructed in Madugulapalli, with the goal of providing affordable housing for the poor.
The Minister also mentioned that, using his own funds, he had undertaken activities to remove silt and overgrown vegetation from canals to provide irrigation water to the last acre of land through AMRP canals. He emphasised that the SSB-C Subterranean Drainage project in Nalgonda district would be completed within the proposed timeline.
The minister criticized the previous government for neglecting the SSB-C Subterranean Drainage project, stating that after coming to power, they had obtained the necessary funds to complete the project within 24 months.
The event was attended by Nalgonda In-charge RDO Sridevi, District Panchayat Officer Murali and others.
