District Collector AS Dinesh Kumar has emphasized the need for strategic planning to boost agricultural productivity and farmers’ income in Paderu district. During a recent meeting with officials from various departments, Kumar stressed the importance of financial upliftment for farmers.
“Our farmers have expressed a strong desire for development, and it is our responsibility to fulfill their aspirations,” Kumar said. He questioned the current per capita income of farmers and the specific details of cultivated lands in the district.
Kumar proposed a comprehensive survey of three mandals to gather crucial data on geographical and climatic conditions, water drainage facilities, and other relevant factors. The aim is to develop targeted action plans to double farmers’ annual income within the next five years.
“By forming farmer producer associations, we can empower farmers and enhance their income potential,” Kumar added. He urged officials to work closely with all agriculture-related departments to achieve this goal.
The meeting was attended by key officials from Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, and Sericulture departments. The collective effort aims to create a more prosperous agricultural future for Paderu district.
