Heeding widespread calls from BRS workers, BRS Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) declared that he would conduct a state-wide padayatra.
“In response to the demands of our party workers, I will embark on a padayatra across the state. Telangana has suffered under Congress rule, and it is unlikely that the state can recover from
political debates and expressed deep disappointment over such tactics. He emphasized that, in his political journey of over two decades, he has never disrespected others’ families and found it distressing that his family was being targeted.
He voiced concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Telangana and attributed it to political interference in police functioning.
He warned that police officers engaging in illegal harassment of BRS leaders would face strong legal actions when the party returns to power. “The safety of the state requires a dedicated Home Minister, and during our 10 years in power, we maintained strict law and order,” he added, hinting at the need for greater accountability in the current administration.
Responding to questions on the Musi Project, KTR clarified that while he supports beautification efforts he opposes what he called ‘Musi Lootification,’ and accused the government of prioritizing corruption over progress.
He also criticized HYDRAA for allegedly targeting only vulnerable communities instead of addressing issues caused by larger entities.
KTR thanked BRS’s social media warriors, who have remained active and supportive of the party post-elections. He commended their efforts and announced plans for an extensive meeting to strengthen their role.
“Social media is the only viable alternative to mainstream media, which has aligned itself with the Congress,” he noted.
Addressing speculations about the health of BRS President K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), KTR reassured supporters that KCR is in good health and continues to guide the party. He emphasized that the BRS would maintain its commitment to accountability, giving the Congress-led government adequate time to fulfil its promises.
KTR highlighted the Congress and BJP’s secret alliance in Telangana, and said that the people are aware of their collusion. He called for electoral reforms to prevent false promises and advocated voting based on credibility.
He also wished success to actor Vijay’s newly launched political party in Tamil Nadu, showing camaraderie with other regional parties.

He pledged to fight transparently on behalf of the people, stating that the BRS would focus on issues affecting Telangana and challenge Congress’s policies constitutionally.
